Acceptable Use Policy
The conduct and content rules every HookPilot workspace agrees to.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses HookPilot Caption Studio LLC's products — the hookpilot.co website, the AI Workforce Operating System, Caption Studio, AI Music Video, the Agent Marketplace, the Agency tier, public APIs, and any other service we offer ("Services"). It is part of the Terms of Service; the same defined terms apply.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to create, store, transmit or publish content that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors (CSAM). HookPilot reports CSAM to NCMEC where required and terminates the workspace immediately.
- Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or incites violence against people.
- Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating-disorder content targeted at vulnerable audiences.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity or other intellectual property rights — including using Caption Studio to "launder" copyrighted text or AI Music Video to remove watermarks.
- Is defamatory, harassing, or invades privacy.
- Is sexually explicit content involving real people generated without consent (non-consensual intimate imagery / "deepfake" abuse).
- Is materially false content about a named real person, a real election, a real product safety claim, or a regulated financial / health / legal matter where a reasonable consumer would be misled.
3. Prohibited Conduct
- Impersonating another person, brand, government body, or HookPilot itself.
- Phishing, malware distribution, or any social engineering campaign.
- Sending unsolicited commercial messages ("spam") at volume or in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, the UK PECR, the EU ePrivacy Directive, or the Australian Spam Act.
- Scraping or harvesting personal data without lawful basis.
- Using HookPilot to facilitate illegal activity in your jurisdiction (illegal gambling, controlled-substance sales, sanctions evasion, etc.).
4. AI-Specific Restrictions
- You may not use HookPilot output to train, fine-tune, evaluate or improve a competing AI model.
- You may not attempt to extract HookPilot's prompts, agent charters, framework libraries, or memory schemas (prompt-injection attacks, jailbreaks for the purpose of distillation, etc.). See NDA §7.
- You may not present unreviewed AI output as the work of a licensed professional (lawyer, doctor, financial adviser, licensed engineer) where licensing is required.
- You may not bypass the platform's hallucination self-check, veto authority or human-in-the-loop review queues (see AI Disclosure §4).
5. Platform Abuse
- No denial-of-service, brute-force, or rate-limit evasion.
- No probing or exploiting vulnerabilities outside the responsible-disclosure process.
- No reverse engineering, scraping the product UI, or running headless bots against authenticated surfaces.
- No sharing of accounts in violation of plan seat counts. Each named user must have their own credentials and MFA factor.
6. Caption Studio and AI Music Video Specific Rules
Because Caption Studio and AI Music Video produce publish-ready content, you must (a) have rights to any source footage, audio, brand assets and likenesses you upload; (b) follow the disclosure rules of each destination platform (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels, X, LinkedIn) including their AI-content labeling requirements; and (c) keep a human in the loop for any output that names real people, makes claims about real products, or relates to elections, health, safety or money.
7. Agency, Reseller and Marketplace Tiers
If you operate under the Agency tier or sell on the Agent Marketplace, you remain responsible for the AUP compliance of every client workspace and every agent you publish. HookPilot can suspend a marketplace listing or an agency parent workspace when downstream workspaces violate this AUP.
8. Reporting Violations
Report abuse: abuse@hookpilot.co. Copyright: see the DMCA / Copyright Policy. Security: security@hookpilot.co. CSAM: forwarded to NCMEC; you may also report directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline.
9. Enforcement
HookPilot may, in our reasonable judgment, warn, throttle, suspend, remove specific outputs, terminate workspaces, withhold refunds for terminated accounts, and refer matters to law enforcement. For severe categories (CSAM, ongoing platform attack, sanctioned-party use) we may act without warning and without notice. Lesser violations follow a notice-and-cure process for paying customers.
10. Appeals
If your workspace has been suspended or content has been removed and you believe the action was in error, reply to the enforcement notice or email legal@hookpilot.co. We commit to a human review within ten (10) business days.
