2. AI Outputs You Generate
You own the outputs the platform creates in response to your prompts and uploaded materials — captions, scripts, transcripts, AI Music Video projects, hashtag sets, brand-voice rewrites, analytics summaries, agent reports. HookPilot does not claim joint ownership in your outputs and does not use them to train shared models (see Privacy §6).
Where applicable law treats AI-generated content as not eligible for copyright (for example, the current U.S. Copyright Office position on works lacking human authorship), the platform does not change that. What you can do, however, is choose how much of your own creative direction goes into the output, which can affect protectability — see the USCO guidance for current rules.
3. Prompts You Author
Prompts you write and save in your workspace are yours. They are Customer Content under the Terms §6. We host and process them only to deliver the service to you. We do not redistribute your prompts, expose them to other tenants, or train shared models on them.
By contrast, prompts that the platform supplies — the system prompts behind built-in agents, the framework-library prompts, the orchestration glue between the layers — are HookPilot's intellectual property. You may use them through the product; you may not extract, copy, fine-tune on, or republish them. See NDA §7 and AUP §4.
4. Templates
If you build a template from scratch — Caption Studio caption set, AI Music Video scene template, Agency client-onboarding template, agent run-template — you own it. You can keep it private, share it with your workspace, or publish it on the Agent Marketplace under the Marketplace Seller Agreement.
If you fork a HookPilot-shipped template, you own your derivative changes; HookPilot retains rights in the underlying shipped template. You can keep the derivative for your own use without restriction; you may not publish a derivative on the Marketplace if it is substantially similar to the underlying HookPilot template.
5. Agents
Custom agents you configure inside your workspace — name, persona, framework selection, memory scope, integrations — are yours. Custom agents inherit the governance layer described in AI Governance; that does not transfer ownership, only adds the safety floor.
Marketplace agents are owned by their seller and licensed to you under the terms presented at install time and the standard Marketplace Seller Agreement. HookPilot is a venue, not the licensor, for marketplace agents.
Built-in HookPilot agents — the named agents inside the 40 chartered departments — are HookPilot's. You receive a usage right through your plan; you do not receive distribution rights.
6. HookPilot's Intellectual Property
The HookPilot platform, the AI Workforce Operating System, agent charters, framework libraries, prompts authored by HookPilot, the SERA orchestration layer, the dashboards, the brand, the wordmark, and the look and feel of the service are owned by HookPilot Caption Studio LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade-secret and other intellectual-property law. Use of the brand is governed by the Brand Usage Policy and the Trademark Protection Guide.
7. Third-Party Material You Upload
You must have rights to anything you upload — source footage, audio, brand assets, headshots, third-party logos, third-party scripts, customer data. HookPilot does not pre-clear third-party rights; you are responsible per the Terms §6 and the Acceptable Use Policy. Copyright complaints follow the DMCA / Copyright Policy.
8. Commercial Use of Outputs
You may use your outputs commercially — paid ads, client deliverables, monetised videos, agency campaigns, ecommerce content, paid newsletters — subject to: third-party rights (Section 7); the AUP; destination-platform AI-disclosure rules (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, LinkedIn each have their own — follow them); and any vertical rules that apply to you (advertising disclosures, financial-services advice rules, healthcare promotional rules, election ad transparency, etc.).
9. Removal & Portability
You can export Customer Content from your workspace at any time and you can delete it via the Data Deletion Policy. Templates and custom agents you own can be exported as part of your workspace export. Marketplace-licensed agents follow the seller's export and revocation rules.
